Who we are and what we do

Healthcare Improvement Scotland is a new improvement and scrutiny body for the NHS in Scotland.

We build on the work undertaken by NHS Quality Improvement Scotland and part of the Care Commission, and are the lead organisation to support healthcare providers deliver high quality care and to regulate independent healthcare services in Scotland.
